Official Quality Assurance & Claims Policy

At PTB Group, we take full accountability for the products we supply. We understand that in the South African logistics industry, reliability is the primary currency. This policy helps our clients have a clear, precise path to resolution in the event of a part failure, allowing you to lessen risk and protect your margins.

Warranty Period

All parts carry a six-month warranty from the date of purchase. We anchor our service in the durability of our 6,000 quality-vetted parts, so your fleet uptime is protected for the long haul.

The Claims Process

Claims are subject to the approval and discretion of Protea Truck and Bus Parts, and our relevant manufacturers or suppliers. We aim to act with integrity and resolve all matters within 10 working days.

• Should a part be deemed acceptable for a claim, we require the original tax invoice and the completion of our official claim form.
• You must provide the specific fitment and failure dates, as well as the mileage at the time of both fitment and removal.
• If your claim is successful, a credit will be issued to your account.
• Should a claim be rejected, the part will be returned to you in its current state, whether assembled or stripped.

Technical Requirements & Fitment

To maintain operational continuity and safety, we require that all components are handled by professionals who understand the mechanics of the modern fleet.

• Engine, electronic, and electrical parts must be fitted by qualified technicians. Proof of professional installation must be produced when submitting a claim.
• Parts fitted incorrectly or in a manner that contradicts the manufacturer’s instructions will not warrant a claim.

Exclusions

We use precise language to make sure there is no guessing regarding our liability. We cannot accept claims for parts found to be damaged due to the following:

• Incorrect fitment or gross negligence.
• Evidence that the part has been tampered with in any way.
• Use of the component for purposes other than its intended application.
